The inspiration for "The Children's Prayer" comes from the blessings that are traditionally made over children at each Shabbat.

At that time, many parent's place their hands over their child's head and recite the prayer featured in the center of this art piece.

"May G-d inspire you to live in the tradition of Ephraim and Menasheh, who carried forward the life of our people. May G-d bless you and keep you. May G-d look kindly upon you, and be gracious to you. May G-d reach out to you in tenderness, and give you peace."

This beautiful homage to this prayer is surrounded by a lush floral border that features multi-colored natural elements.

The circular border encircling the prayer at the center appears to be carved stone. Every letter of the Hebrew alphabet is embossed into this border and symbolically surrounds and protects the child.

This design is perfect for a "Brit Milah", or the birth of a new baby boy.
